Gstp1

GSTP1, usually called glutathionw S-transferase P, is an enzyme encoded by the GSTP1 gene in human. It belongs the family of GSTs that play an important role in detoxification by catalyzing the conjugation of many hydrophobic and electrophilic compounds with reduced glutathione. it has shown a negative regulation of CDK5 activity via p25/p35 translocation to prevent neurodegeneration.
