Tlr5

Toll-like receptor 5 is a protein in humans that is encoded by TLR5 gene. Participates in the innate immune response to microbial agents. Mediates detection of bacterial flagellins. Acts via MYD88 and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response.
